Baby's First Birthday (OK, it's me!)

 

BABY’S FIRST BIRTHDAY: She has a Whole Cake to Herself!

OK, I’ll admit it – this is me at age one. For some reason my family allowed me to dive into my birthday cake, and after initial hesitation I went for it.  Before YouTube, even before home video, this became a photo essay that passed into family legend. I thought these photos were lost forever, then rediscovered them in an album at a family reunion. Please note: after I had my way with the cake, my mother scraped all the icing off and re-iced it, and it was ready to serve.
